      The National Library of Ireland holds papers relating to Lieutenant-Colonel Edward Dennis Atkinson (1818-1904) which include manuscript notebooks containing memories of his life. Also includes an account of sailing from Cork to Nova Scotia in 1838, elephant and tiger hunting in Ceylon, and his time with his regiment, the 37th Regiment of Foot in Canada.
