Aantekening
O’Gorman contributed articles to Irish Capuchin publications in the 1930s and 1940s. Professionally trained as an architect, he continued to paint (mostly in watercolours) throughout his life. He exhibited paintings at the Royal Hibernian Academy between 1933 and 1944. He emerged as a pioneer of modernist architecture and criticized what he perceived as the conservatism of the older generation of Irish architects. The Dictionary of Irish Architects resource has a concise biography which can be accessed at https://www.dia.ie/architects/view/4148/O%27GORMAN-JOHNJOSEPH
