A clipping of a review of the book taken from ‘The Tidings’ (27 January 1950) is pasted onto the inside front cover. Monica Baldwin (1893-1975) was a niece of former United Kingdom Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin. She lived as a nun for twenty-eight years before deciding to leave religious life.
