A clipping of a report on the destruction of the Boyne Obelisk (sometimes referred to as King William's Obelisk) in Oldbridge, near Drogheda in County Louth. The monument was erected to commemorate King William’s victory over King James II at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690. The clipping is taken from the ‘Freeman’s Journal’ (1 June 1923).
