A note signed by Adjunct Thomas Slater (on behalf of Commandant Thomas MacDonagh) to Patrick Pearse during the 1916 Rising. The note refers to the examination of his ‘dispositions’ by ‘umpires and two assistants’. He expresses his satisfaction that these ‘intermediaries’ are in touch with both sides. The note may refer to possible negotiations for the surrender of the Jacob’s factory garrison. The note provides a time of 1pm.
