Scope and content
The subseries comprises a large collection of loose pamphlets, magazines, periodicals, and booklets assembled by Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap., the editor of ‘The Capuchin Annual’. The collection focuses heavily on the Irish revolutionary period (1912-1923), including the Home Rule crisis, World War I, the War of Independence, and the Civil War. It also reflects Moynihan’s eclectic interests in Irish Church and Franciscan history, Irish literature and art, Gaelic culture, and economic and political conditions in twentieth-century Ireland.
