Scope and content
A clipping of an article detailing the arrival and itinerary of a group of Irish Capuchin friars embarking on a missionary tour in the United States. The four-week tour will launch on a Sunday at St. Gabriel’s Church in New York City, led by the Fr. Brendan O’Callaghan OFM Cap., of Paradise, Pennsylvania. He is joined by three newly arrived Irish priests from Church Street in Dublin, Ireland: Father Clement Connolly, Father Stanislaus Kavanagh, and Father Thomas Dowling. Following their initial campaign in New York, the friars will travel to St. Patrick’s Church in York, Pennsylvania, for a two-week mission, before continuing their year-long tour through the Dioceses of Philadelphia, New York, Harrisburg, Brooklyn, and Trenton.
