A clipping of a photograph titled ‘Fionphort Ferry, Ross of Mull / with Iona in the distance’. The monastic community on Iona was founded by Columba (521-597 AD), also known as Colmcille, an Irish abbot and missionary, in 563 AD. The clipping is taken from ‘The Glasgow Herald’ (3 August 1938).
