Scope and content
A copy of the programme for ‘Feis na nGleann’, a festival held in Glenariff, one of the nine Glens of Antrim, in June 1905 (Belfast: printed by the “Irish News”, [1905]). The cover illustration is by Seaghán Pádraig Mac Cathmhaoil (18830-1962). The Feis included competitions in Gaelic storytelling, poetry recitations, singing, dancing, and instrumental music. The chief adjudicator at the Feis was Eoin MacNeill (1867-1945), the Antrim-born Irish language scholar and one of the founders of Conradh na Gaeilge (Gaelic League).
