Scope and content
A file containing material relating to the June 1927 general election (the first to be contested by Fianna Fáil). Includes two Fianna Fáil items and one circular letter issued by Cumann na nGaedheal. The Fianna Fáil leaflet for the Dublin County constituency reads ‘The winning card! / the five beats king and knave / Vote straight for Fianna Fáil and Ireland’. It includes portraits of the five Fianna Fáil candidates who contested the eight-seat Dublin County constituency. They were Patrick Belton (1884-1945), Seán MacEntee (1889-1984), Seán Brady (1890-1969), James Morris, and Robert Brennan.
