Flier from Dodgson Hamilton Madden for the impending Trinity College (Dublin University) by-election. The flier reads ‘I have always been a firm supporter of the Conservative party, and I look upon its present position with pride. That party, with the patriotic aid of the Liberal Unionists, has succeeded in averting from the Empire disintegration and dishonour, and from Ireland a signal and crushing disaster’.
