A copy of the ‘Cork Examiner’ (1887). The newspaper is incomplete but contains an article reporting on the visit of Monsignor Ignatius Persico OFM Cap. to Cork. Persico travelled throughout the country from July 1887 until January 1888 consulting prominent members of the hierarchy and clergy in relation to the Plan of Campaign and nationalist political agitation.
