Scope and content
A copy of an application from Donal Thomas Kearney, Oldcastle, County Meath, for appointment to the position of state solicitor, county registrar, and county sheriff. The application provides a brief biography and a statement of qualifications. Kearney also notes that his father ‘was a Constable in the RIC for 19 years, and resigned in 1920, in sympathy with the IRA. He was later awarded an annual pension of £165 by the Saorstat Eireann Government’.
