      Note

The Morley family has been involved in the making, repair and selling of harps since 1817. Joseph George Morley (1847-1922) inherited his father’s harp-making establishment and as noted in this advertisement, acquired the business of Sebastian Érard along with his stock of sixty-year-old harps in 1890. The company is still in existence.
