    Marie Germaine Stockley née Kolb (1868-1949) was born in Munich. She moved to Ireland in 1908 having married William Frederick Paul Stockley, Professor of English at University College Cork. She was a gifted singer who had studied with a pupil of Brahms; she taught in the Cork School of Music.
