Letter from Fr. Thomas Dowling OFM Cap., Our Lady of Angels, Burlingame, California, to Fr. Edwin Fitzgibbon OFM Cap., Provincial Minister, on preparation for the annual fair. He also mentions that the debt on the church and residence in Burlingame has been reduced to $59,000. He adds ‘I am getting everything in as good order as I can before I finally bid adieu for ever to U.S.A. I am counting the days until I reach the old land wherein to lay my old bones. Frs. Joseph, Adrian and I have arranged to sail from New York on “Georgic” on July 10th’.
