Scope and content
An official certificate acknowledging and outlining the repayment terms for an interest-free loan of one thousand pounds sterling (£1,000) received by the Rochestown community from Miss Kate Kinnears of Queenstown, County Cork. The terms mandate that the principal sum be repaid in annual instalments of one hundred pounds sterling (£100) over ten consecutive years, beginning on 1 August 1906. The community further binds itself to repay the remaining balance earlier should the benefactor require it. In spiritual reciprocity for her financial kindness, the monastery pledges that four annual Masses will be offered for her intentions every year the loan remains active: on the Feast of St. Francis, Christmas, the Annunciation of the B.V. Mary, and the Feast of St. Antony.
