A ledger entry recording six distinct capitular enactments decreed during the Capuchin Franciscan Provincial Chapter held at the Convent of the Holy Trinity, Charlotte Quay, Cork. The first two decrees withdraw previous restrictions regarding the wearing of the traditional Capuchin habit in Dublin, encouraging its prudent introduction while empowering Superiors to sanction secular dress when necessary. The third and fourth clauses regulate public interactions and travel, prohibiting friars from joining excursions with lay people, sodalities, or bands, restricting recreational transit by forbidding cars, and urging extreme reserve when attending secular funerals unless for immediate relations. The fifth enactment bans smoking across the Province except for members with pre-existing lawful permissions, mandating express consent from the Father Provincial for any future tobacco use. The final clause designates the Cork Convent as the active Provincial residence of the Province.
