Griffin was refused permission to print Pope Benedict X1V’s Encyclical Letter, A Quo Primum, “Concerning what is forbidden to Jews dwelling in the same towns and districts as Christians,” in his monthly paper, Panapa. Asks if the Press Censor has the right to forbid the publication of Papal Letters in this country? No. 2. 3/ 24/4 Handwritten letter to +McQuaid from George Griffin, President, People’s National Party, asking for a meeting to discuss the conduct of the Jews, which “is unbearable”.
