              -28 March1958 File relating to the Rev. R.L. Lynn- Walls (William Albert Cork), Crow Piece Lane, Burnham Beecker, Bucks. Lynn-Wall, alias P.D. Brown and whose real name was William Albert Cork, claimed to be a clergyman in the Church of England (Old Catholic), had left the Church, and now wanted to receive instruction in the Catholic Faith. He wished to do so in Ireland and sought assurances from + McQuaid that he would receive financial assistance for the duration of the instruction. He was advised to contact the Converts’ Aid Society. He was known to the police in Britain, and had convictions for obtaining money under false pretenses. On failing to have an appointment with + McQuaid on 28 March 1958 he returned to London.               .1961 Handwritten letter to + McQuaid from a ‘Catholic’. Asks the Archbishop to intervene to try to stop the shedding of innocent blood across the border. It would bring about the unity of Ireland far sooner than would shooting and murdering from behind stone walls.
