              Correspondence between Dr. O’Connell & +McQuaid regarding an article in ‘Reality’ by Fr. George Wadding entitled ‘Please explain’. It deals with questions on contraceptives. Two copies of ‘Reality’ also attached.

              Correspondence between +Levame & +McQuaid regarding a proposal from the Irish Civil Authorities to have St. Isidore’s Church in Rome declared National Church of Ireland to mark the tercentenary of the death of Father Luke Wadding O.F.M. +McQuaid states that none of the Bishops, including himself, have heard about this and he does not support it. He states many of the Irish congregations have churches in Rome and it would be inappropriate to choose one as a National Church. He states St. Peter’s is the centre of our holy religion.
