The series comprises visitation records compiled in respect of the Irish Capuchin mission in the United States (known from 1937 as St. Patrick’s Custody). The series includes documents evaluating the spiritual, moral, financial, and structural health of various Irish Capuchin foundations in America. Some of the documentation relates to demographic and moral assessments of both the clergy and laity, while other records provide detailed inventories of the Order’s property and finances in the United States
