Portée et contenu
A copy of ‘The Far North’, an historical photographic souvenir album compiled and published in 1902 by the Canadian photographer Charles Wesley Mathers (C.W. Mathers). Mathers travelled extensively through the Northwest Territories and the Arctic in 1901, documenting Indigenous communities, fur trade outposts, and northern landscapes. Upon returning to his studio in Edmonton, Alberta, he custom-bound these collections of photographs into string-bound souvenir albums to sell to collectors and travellers.
