St. Joseph's Retreat, Cloonamahon: Collooney: letter (typed on headed paper) to the Rector of St. Joseph's, Fr. Salvian, C.P., from the Bishop of Achonry. Dr. James Fergus. Bishop is appointing two clergy to visit the site of the proposed new public oratory and house of studies at Cloonamahon and to report to him. If report is favourable, there will be no delay (in granting permission for the building?) - see items under serial numbers 8728 and 8730.

Archival documents are catalogued in the following way : Shelf number, box number, file number and item number. Thus, 45/1/1/4 means shelf forty-five, box one, file one and item four. In addition to this each item has an individual serial number. This is attached to the catalogue as an alternative identifier.
