St. Bonaventure’s College was founded in 1991 as a formation centre for the three Franciscan Orders: the Order of Friars Minor (OFM), the Conventuals (OFM Conv.) and the Capuchins (OFM Cap.). The Institute was formally inaugurated by the three Ministers General of the Franciscan Orders on 27 June 1992.
