This series comprises records relating to lay religious associations attached to the Capuchin Friary at Rochestown, County Cork, principally the Third Order of St. Francis and the Legion of Mary.
The registers document the membership of the Third Order of St. Francis from approximately 1887 to 1971. They record the names, addresses, religious names, dates of reception and profession, and spiritual directors of members. Additional remarks document changes in membership, including deaths, marriages and departures from the locality.
The series also includes a minute book of the Legion of Mary covering November 1953 to November 1954. It documents the fraternity’s membership, administration, religious activities, lectures and distribution of spiritual literature.
