              Letter from Mgr. Augusto Fidecicchi, Prelato Uditore de Rota, Rome, to Mgr. Richard Glennon, The Chancellery, enclosing two rescripts from the Sacred Congregation of Sacraments granting dispensation upon matrimonial impediments. The tax of 10 shillings has been paid on each one. The Bulls will be forwarded in due course.

              Letter from +McQuaid to Mgr. Felici enclosing a copy of the correspondence sent to each church concerning 1st November. The day was celebrated with great devotion, and ‘not since the Eucharistic Congress of 1932 has any similar reception of the Sacraments been experience by the Diocese’. The forthcoming celebrations will again meet a vast and silent exhibition of devotion.

              Handwritten minutes of ‘V’ Committee meeting. The following items are mentioned in the report. A lengthy report on the history of the IRA was submitted by Fr. Kent, S.J. The full report is to be sent to Fr. Tuohy. Governor Kavanagh told the Chairman that all IRA prisoners were “most faithful to their spiritual duties. Fr. Kent submitted a full report on Professor Thompson and agreed to look for information on Seamus Sorohan.
