Ryan on extinct Irish dioceses and he repudiates the widely diffused idea of bishops being subject to abbots in the early Irish church. One Jesuit attempts to become a hermit. The Jesuits also seek to undertake home visitation in an area of the Pro- Cathedral parish which is criticised by Msgr. Cecil Barret, Vicar General. Information on Archbishop’s friendship with Fr.
