There are huge issues with the pagan University College for the West Indies, State control of social services, secret societies and English Protestant indifference. He mentions the last Eucharistic Congress in Rio, earthquakes and the burning of the second town in St. Lucia. He mentions his student in Clonliffe who is settling in and the fact that +McQuaid is ordaining Alfred O’Rahilly the following day.
