              Typed letter to +McQuaid from P.J. Hillery enclosing reports which had been received from Superintendents at the Cistercian College, Roscrea. These are shocking and must be classed as a terrible indictment of members of a prominent Religious Order. Many managers have been contributing to the efforts of the teachers to prevent the satisfactory holding of the examinations.

              Letter from +Rodgers to +McQuaid. The letter concerns Mr Roche of Pearse St. who had complained during his stay in the abbey, Roscrea. He has written a number of letters and +Rodgers wishes to know what he is like. +McQuaid annotates that it is the consensus among the clergy who know him that he is an eccentric and that no attention should be paid to him.
