A clipping of an article referring to a visit by Fr. Juan Antonio (Joseph Antony) de San Juan en Persiceto OFM Cap., Minister General, to California. His visit marks the first time in over three hundred years that the highest leader of the order has inspected the old missions of California. Based out of Rome, the Minister General spent his summer touring the order’s global houses, including a stop at the newly established American headquarters in Watts in Los Angeles. The clipping is taken from ‘The Suburban Home’ (16 May 1923).
