Archbishop’s evident lack of sympathy for the Cistercian life in contrast with his enthusiasm for Carthusians. Carthusians regret inability to accept offer, essentially due to lack of personnel, though there is an interesting suggestion of an historic Carthusian prejudice against Irish foundations.
