5-6 September 1949 Letter from Mgr. Paro to +McQuaid enclosing a rescript which has arrived from the Sacred Congregation for the Oriental Church. It wants the Hierarchy to establish an organisation entitled ‘The Pontifical Mission for Palestine’, in accordance with the wishes of the Holy Father. Mgr. Thomas McMahon, National Secretary of the Catholic Near east Welfare Association in the United States of American has been asked to take charge of the ‘Mission’.
