Overseas Missions: Johannesburg: photocopy of letter from Caspar Caulfield, C.P., the Missions Secretary General to Fergus Loughrey, C.P., Propoganda Fidei has instructed that the terna for the election of the Prefect Apostolic for Bechuanaland ( Botswana ) be taken up. Voting will not take place until written consent of the local Ordinary is obtained for the erection of a Passionist house in one of the most favourably situated cities of South Africa. There is deadlock in these negotiations at the moment, so Caspar writes to examine the whole question from all sides to enable Fergus and Consultors can determine what course of action to take. The whole problem is then discussed in detail and certain suggestions made. In addition to this each item has an individual serial number. This is attached to the catalogue as an alternative identifier.
