Note

'Notitia Conciliorum' was first published in Lyons in 1668. Cardinal Grimaldi induced Cabassut to enlarge this work and publish it under the title of 'Notitia ecclesiastica historiarum, conciliorum et canonum invicem collatorum' (Lyons, 1680, and other dates; Munich, 1758; Tournai, 1851, 3 vols.). Often modified and enlarged, it was published under the title of 'Cabassutius', an authority for the history of Church councils. A compendium of the 'Notitia' was published in Louvain in 1776.
