The article from ‘The Tidings’ reports on the upcoming dedication of the new parish residence for the Capuchin Franciscan Fathers of St. Francis of Assisi parish, located on Golden Gate Avenue in Los Angeles. The dedication ceremony will be conducted by Most Rev. John J. Cantwell on Sunday, 2 October, at 11:00 a.m., coinciding with the celebration of the parish’s Titular Feast. Following the dedication, a Solemn High Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. by Very Rev. Msgr. Raphael Fuhr, with Bishop Cantwell presiding and preaching. Designed by architect Lawrence D. Viole, the two-story rectory features an old Spanish style modelled after traditional Californian Franciscan Missions and is highly praised for its artistic beauty and utility.
