A priest told a Committee member a boy informed him that he was trained as a Communist by his father. If the father deviated the boy would report him. During the last (general) election Michael O’Riordan, a bus-conductor, stood for election. When it was rumoured that a letter from the Archbishop was to be read at Masses it seems that protests were arranged in all churches in the constituency. O’Riordan is very affable.
