TEXT

My dear Father,
I await the answer to my were before going to see Miss McKenna. I feel so strongly in justice she should at least know of the vacancy and apply to you.

She might not consider it, taking on both work; on the other hand, she may.

She got on well with the boys and parents, kept their wardrobe beautiful, and can take over without much explaining.

Your wire has just arrived. I shall go and see her and if she is anxious to take the post. I shall advise her to write directly to you.

Now about the ties, they cannot be traced at Lyzon. Will you please post me correspondence on this matter with Dom Columba? They cannot remember them and say they may have just ordered a few dozen. Perhaps Miss Murphy would find one in the vestry. So please post up.

We shall soon have all in order with God’s help.

I see by all your letters you are very tired, have not had the time to sit down to think things out. We shall settle all when I return. You will then have estimate from Clery’s and we can compare prices, etc. On Monday, I shall have your decision on color and then go ahead without fear.

I think it was the color the boys objected to, but they will get over that when there is so much.

I wish I could take over all this for you, but I see so clearly you really like to decide all, and in these matters our tastes are not the same, so my only desire is to carry out your wishes in all things.

No house yet, but I shall return early next week, probably having come back early in Sept.

I think that girl you spoke of was good, but remember you bring back all past history Glenstal, a new group. Fr. David can advise you best on this question; he know everything. I was glad to see him looking better and bringing two novices to you; that will cheer you up.

I hope Our Lord will accept the little I try to do for Glenstal as an act of love and not allow M.M.M. to suffer by the little extra delay.

It is hard on my daughters being so much away, but they all understand it is necessary for them and Glenstal. But I have no time to do much about vocations.

With grateful thanks for your letter. I am sorry to hear Miss R’s visit was not very fruitful. Prayer is what will help her most. She needs so much grace.
