Bereik en inhoud
‘Minutes of the proceedings of the “Union”, St. Joseph’s, Blackrock. Established 22 Jul 1900 at S[aint] V[incent's] C[ollege] Castleknock, under the patronage of Blessed Francis Clet, CM. Vol.II.’ Summary of lectures and debates at a student literary and debating society.
Examples of lecture topics and motions for debate are: 'Socialism', 'Belgium', 'Babylonia', 'South African War', 'A Pilgrimage to Rome', 'Which is the more necessary for Ireland just now, Home Rule or a Catholic University?', 'The Religious Crisis in France' and 'Some objects of Astronomical interest at the present Day', among many others. Not all of these are present in this volume, as some seem to have been documented in another volume of meeting minutes.
