Scope and content
A map of Capuchin Franciscan ground in Bend, Oregon. The plan shows a detailed, hand-drawn property plot map and architectural site plan for a church and its surrounding grounds. A manuscript note in the upper portion of the map reads ‘Our plot covers 7/8 parts of an acre and has a street on three sides and dominates the city and Residential Portion. And the Church would be facing City Residential Portion and the New Sisters and School …’. The center of the map outlines the main church building, labelled ‘Church to Seat 450’. It features detailed components like a ‘Choir’ area and a ‘Passage to Choir’. Steps lead up to the church entrance, and adjacent structures include sections labelled ‘Rectory’ and ‘Sisters’ House’.
