Scope and content
Letter from Fr. Stephen Murtagh OFM Cap. to Fr. Colman Griffin OFM Cap., Provincial Minister, reporting on his recent trip to McKenzie Bridge, Oregon, to attend the first Masses on property donated by a Mr. Bede Reynolds, who gave the land to the order after his wife’s death. He expresses personal disappointment that the Definitory decided against building a monastery at McKenzie Bridge. He reiterates his belief that the location is ‘marvellously beautiful’ and would have been a ‘blessing’ as a monastery site.
