Letter from Fr. Luke Sheehan OFM Cap. to Fr. Sylvester Mulligan OFM Cap., Provincial Minister, regarding his plans to build a school in Bend, Oregon. He writes ‘If everything goes alright I hope to start the school about the end of April. When I spoke to the Bishop about the school he stressed the importance of securing the right class of sisters and told me that I ought to go to Ireland myself and see that the proper sisters will be sent. I will go if your Reverence will give me the permission. A suitable time would be in June. I could take in the Eucharistic Congress’.
