Letter from Fr. Joseph Fenelon OFM Cap. to Fr. Peter Bowe OFM Cap., Provincial Minister, reporting that he and Fr. Gabriel Harrington OFM Cap. are giving a two-week mission in Watts, California, which is well-attended. Bishop Keane and Bishop Cantwell are both mentioned; Cantwell has already departed for the Holy Land and Rome, accompanied by several others including Monsignor McCarthy’. Father Fenelon OFM Cap. expresses some reservations about Fr. Gabriel’s ability to be a permanent pastor, noting he may not have "sufficient ballast" for the role yet.
