Postcard prints of interior arrangements and altars for Catholic worship onboard several White Star Line ships including the ‘Majestic’, ‘Megantic’, ‘Olympic’, ‘Homeric’, and ‘Calgaric’.

A clipping referring to a public demonstration in Castlebar, County Mayo, on 2 April 1922. The event included speeches by Michael Collins, Seán McKeon (Seán Mac Eoin), and Alexander McCabe (Alasdair Mac Caba). The article is taken from the 'Irish Independent' (30 March 1922).

An election flier produced for Dr Patrick McCartan (1878-1963), the Sinn Féin candidate, during the South Armagh by-election which was held on 2 February 1918. The flier features a satirical illustration of Sir Edward Carson, the leading Irish Unionist, depicted as a stereotypical Irish peasant with a shillelagh under his arm, talking to a woman, most likely a representation of John Redmond, the leader of the Irish Parliamentary Party. The woman wears a hat adorned with ‘Home Rule’ and has a bag hanging from her waist which reads ‘Conscription Dowry’ superimposed over the pound (£) symbol. Underneath the image, the caption reads ‘Sir Edward Carson: “Frankly, I'm not all round your neck but everybody wants me to marry you for your Conscription Dowry”’. The illustration is credited to Wilton Williams.

Newspaper cuttings compiled by Fr. Paul Neary OFM Cap. (d. 20 June 1939) relating to the life and temperance campaign of Fr. Theobald Mathew OSFC. The majority of the cuttings and publications are from 1890 and relate to the commemorations of the centenary of the birth of Fr. Mathew. An alphabetical index to the newspaper clippings is extant at the front of the volume. The volume includes cuttings from the 'Belfast Morning News', 'Catholic Times', 'Daily Graphic', 'Evening Telegraph', 'Cork Examiner', 'Freeman’s Journal', 'Northern Whig' (Belfast), 'Temperance Record' (London), 'Weekly Herald', and 'Women’s Penny Papers'. The volume also includes illustrations of Father Mathew Memorial Hall, Church Street, Dublin, temperance demonstrations in Cork and Dublin, notable events and places associated with the life and work of Fr. Mathew, and the Father Mathew statue on Sackville Street, Dublin. Printed matter inserted in the volume includes flyers for the Grand National Celebration in honour of Father Mathew held in Cork, 8-10 Oct. 1890 (p. 101), the Rule book of the female branch of the Father Mathew Sacred Thirst Sodality (p. 149), and pastoral letters published by various Irish bishops marking the Father Mathew centenary (pp 163-70).

Original newspaper clippings relating to the Civil War assembled by the editors of 'The Capuchin Annual'. The file comprises clippings from the 'Cork Examiner' and the 'Evening Echo' and contains reports on hostilities between Free State forces and republicans mainly in Munster.

A large collection of metal printing blocks (stereotypes) prepared for illustrative purposes and publication in 'The Capuchin Annual'. It is likely that some of the blocks were purchased from an engraving and printing company whilst many others were specifically commissioned for 'The Capuchin Annual'.
