A bound volume containing photographic prints complied for publication and illustrative purposes by Fr. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. and Fr. Henry Anglin OFM Cap. A manuscript annotation on the spine reads ‘Views’. Most of the prints are not captioned. Many of the prints are of scenic locations in Ireland (ecclesiastical sites and landscapes on the western seaboard), rural life and cityscapes (most notably in Cork). The album includes the following prints (the index number refers to the pagination within the volume):

Draft transcription (with commentary and notes) of ‘Sgéal “Sheandúin”’ (Tadhg Ó Murchadha). The volume was probably used by Br. Senan Moyinhan OFM Cap. for his serial publication of the text in ‘The Father Mathew Record’ (July 1924-August 1925). Several loose (dated) enclosures and notes are extant in the volume. The first portion of the transcription is dated 10 February 1918. The final dated entry in the volume is 22 January 1922. Some possibly earlier notes and translations of religious texts are present on the opening pages of the volume.

Draft transcription (with emendations and notes) of ‘Sgéal “Sheandúin”’ (Tadhg Ó Murchadha). The transcription was probably compiled by Br. Senan Moynihan OFM Cap. for his serial publication of Ó Murchadha’s text in ‘The Father Mathew Record’ (July 1924-August 1925). A photographic print of an infant child is inserted into the volume.

Two letters with initialled signatures. They are possibly related to the Fenian John O’Mahony. One of the notes reads ‘There is strong objection to your “official” proceedings. Perhaps these objections may be overcome but if you want to succeed you must rely mainly on your own “individual efforts” …’. Two numbered notes are also extant in the file: ‘7210 / John (Ryan?) London, 27 Jan. 71 / have seen O’D / settled to meet the people at my place on Tuesday night 31st’ and ‘7196 / list of towns in England, Scotland, and Ireland’.

Photographic prints compiled for an article by Brendan Ó Cathaoir titled ‘John O’Mahony, 1815-1877’ published in 'The Capuchin Annual' (1977). The file comprises a copy portrait photograph of Colonel John O’Mahony and a print of a memorial tablet referring to O’Mahony’s role in founding the Fenian organisation.
