Clipping from ‘The Tidings’ reporting on the death and funeral of Fr. Albert Bibby OFM Cap., the rector of Old Mission Santa Inés, who passed away on 14 February 1925 after ‘two months of heroic suffering’. Father Albert died at St. Francis Hospital in Santa Barbara, surrounded by the Franciscan Sisters. He received the last sacraments from Father Thornton, Superior of the Jesuits at Santa Barbara. He was laid to rest in the old cemetery of Santa Inés, a fact the article describes as a ‘great consolation’ to the parishioners he served.
