              Letter from Mgr. Gerada to +McQuaid stating that the Nuncio may be able to return from the hospital, in Drogheda, next week. He is over his critical stage. The prohibition on visitors still applies but the Archbishop is most welcome to visit if he can spare the time to go to Drogheda. The Nuncio also wishes to thank +McQuaid for all he has done during the last weeks which included the death of Pius XII and the election of John XXIII.
