This could be attached to Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children as the Order of St. Vincent de Paul are experts on the problems of mentally handicapped children. Such a School (Day Centre) has already been set up: St. Michael’s House, Northbrook Road, Dublin. The Association of Parents and Friends of Mentally Handicapped Children wish to have this Day Centre be recognized as a National School and seek State assistance to have a similar Day Centre established on the North side.
