Bound in original calf covering with gilt titles to spines. The spines are warped and partially cracked. There is extensive dirt accumulation, tidemarks and foxing to some pages. Manuscript annotation on the first page of vol. 1 reads: ‘Ex Libris Congregation … [Missionibus Domus Syrancyanae?]’. Manuscript annotation on the first pages of vols. 3 and 5 read: ‘Congregationis Missionaris, Domus [Syraciyensis?]’. Printed stamp on inside of front cover reads: ‘CH. Taranne Librarie. 33, r. Cassette, Paris’. Blind stamped on title page: ‘Capuchin Franciscan Friary, Charlotte Quay, Cork’. The items are wrapped in protective coverings. Very careful manual handling is required.
