-2 September 1955 On 3 October 1947 the Department of Defence sought tenders from construction companies for the re-pointing of the water tower in the Curragh Camp. Desmond Hunter’s tender was accepted. In January 1948 Hunter sought to change the Specification and an increase for the work. The Department would not accept this, Hunter discontinued the work in June 1948, and in accordance with the Conditions of Contract notice was served on him determining the contract. Conway, Marion, Eaglehill Ho., Suncroft, Curragh, Co. Kildare. She is complaining that Fr. Whelan interfered with her recently deceased brother, who did not want to make a will. She accused the priest, a solicitor and doctor of fraudulently writing a will which defrauded herself, her nieces and nephew of their rights. She asks the Archbishop to have this will undone immediately.

Handwritten letter to +McQuaid from + Thomas Keogh, Kildare and Leighlin. He wishes it to be understood that the delegation he granted is a wartime measure and is to cease when normal peace returns. The special needs of a large civilian population have been catered for by the Curragh Chaplains.

Fagan, Mrs Bridget, Windmill Park, Crumlin, wrote to ask + McQuaid to intervene to have her husband released from the Curragh, where he has been interned. She has been ill and cannot control her six children.
